What is a Breast Implant Exchange?
It is important to note that breast implants are not considered to be lifetime devices. Over time, breasts change due to ageing, weight fluctuations, hormonal factors and gravity. Understandably as well, a woman may simply want to revise her profile as she ages. The profile once desired in her 20's or 30's may or may not be what she wants in her 40's, 50's or 60's. Breast implant exchange surgery or implant remove and replacement surgery allows women the opportunity to choose a different type, size and/or shaped implant. For some, a breast lift may also be necessary allowing for proper implant placement and restored youthful appearance. Dr. Cotter has close to 30 years of breast surgery experience.
